Soccer, Backpacks & Birthday Songs!

Today, our first full day on our missions trip to Agua Prieta, Mexico. It was a fun day, we started out by loading the vans with more stuff to take across the boarder. Kara, Gretta, Jake & I put up the Christmas tree in the children's center, while the guys went back over to the refuge to get some of the stuff we had brought over last night. We played soccer with Rapheal, he was against 5 of us and still beating us. We were quite proud of ourselves a few times for getting the ball past him and in the goal. It was lots of fun and later found out he is on the soccer team and his team is in first place. They unlocked the gates and we were able to play with the children in the playground for a while. We also loaded up backpacks full of toys, snacks, toothbrushes, blankets, etc. to be given away. Doug and Jan took us to a REAL mexican place to eat. Super yummy!!! While eating these guys came in with guitars and Pastor Ron payed them to sing me a song for my birthday. So fun!
Oh one last thing to mention today, for lunch we just ate at McDonalds, which had a play center in it. Jake went on up in the tunnels and a few minutes later Grandpa Ron followed him. I probably can't fit that many pictures on the blog today but ask and I will show you later.
